Why Did I Create SoundYou? How Radio Destroys the Atmosphere You've Worked So Hard to Build

As the founder of SoundYou, I'm often asked: "Why the wellness industry, of all things?" My answer is always the same: because as a customer, I'd had enough. Enough of cold medicine advertisements during a massage, and enough of music that irritated rather than soothed my senses. Read about why I decided to declare war on random radio stations — and how this change can save the reputation of your brand.

My Mission: An End to "Wellness" Absurdity

Before SoundYou existed, I was (and still am) a regular visitor to spa facilities, massage studios and relaxation zones. I love that moment when the outside world disappears and I can fully recharge. Unfortunately, that peace of mind was too often brutally shattered.

I've lost count of how many times, in the middle of deep relaxation, an aggressive radio jingle or a shouted supermarket advertisement hit me from the speakers. It was precisely this absurdity that drove me to act. As the creator of this platform, I set myself one goal: to deliver sound that respects the client. Radio with advertisements in a place like your spa is not just cutting corners — it is a real blemish on your professionalism, one that a client notices immediately.

The Problem Nobody Talks About

In designing SoundYou, I spent hundreds of hours analysing what actually happens to our ears during treatments. Most commercial radio stations broadcast sound that is optimised for loud cars or open offices — it is sharp, shrill and full of high frequencies.

As a wellness user, I felt this physically. Those high tones literally prick at the ears, causing subconscious muscle tension and discomfort. Instead of "drifting away," your client is subconsciously fighting against a sound that is too aggressive. At SoundYou, we eliminated this problem. Our playlists are curated so that the sounds are soft and deep — free from sizzling cymbals and piercing vocals that exhaust the brain.

The Trap of the Looping Soundtrack

Another reason I built my own platform was the pervasive musical tedium. How many times can you listen to the same flute motif during a two-hour spa visit?

I noticed that many salons use free, short playlists that repeat themselves after just 30–40 minutes. For me, as a customer, this is a relaxation killer. Instead of embarking on a "magical journey," after an hour I know exactly which track is coming next. This keeps the brain in analytical mode instead of switching off completely. At SoundYou, we ensure that every hour is fresh, inspiring and unpredictable — in the best possible sense.

SoundYou Is My Personal Promise of Quality

I created this service because I believe that details create luxury. If you invest in the finest oils, the most beautiful décor and a highly skilled team, don't let a random radio station undo all of that.

SoundYou is not just music and a certificate of legality. It is my personal guarantee that your client will feel cared for from the very first to the very last sound. No advertisements, no irritating frequencies and no tedious loops. Just pure, professional relaxation — and I put my name to it as the founder.
